Olympic Guest Speaker

Today we had a guest speaker come in to talk to the 4th grade classes about the Olympics.  Her name was Judy Walker, and she is Samuel A.’s grandma.  She was in the Olympics in 1956 and 1960 for fencing.  She had some really cool stories from her trips to Melbourne, Australia, and Rome, Italy.  She also talked to us about different parts of the Olympics and the different Olympic sports.  There was time to ask questions at the end, and our 4th graders had some great things to ask her.  We were also able to answer some of her questions since we’ve been studying the Olympics for the last week.

Many thanks again to our guest speaker for teaching us more about the Olympics.

Only 5 more school days left for the 4R Olympic Games.  Closing Ceremony is next week Friday.  🙂
